NEW JERSEY WATERSHED AMBASSADORS PROGRAM
Watershed Management Area 3
Pompton, Pequannock, Wanaque, Ramapo

Hello, my name is Tracy Margaret. I am the 2007-2008 Watershed Ambassador for New Jersey's Watershed Management Area 3. I share office space with Skylands Clean in Ringwood, where I will be working to educate students and the community about important issues concerning our watersheds in this beautiful region of northern New Jersey. Through education and partnership with the community, I believe that we can become better stewards of the precious natural resources that our waterways provide.

I am a recent graduate of Cook College at Rutgers University, proudly graduating with a degree in Ecology and Applied Conservation. I have always loved the outdoors. Growing up in Morris County, I spent endless hours playing in streams, turning over rocks and looking for critters of all sorts. Sadly, the stream that I once enjoyed as a child is now surrounded by suburban sprawl. My concern for New Jersey's environment compels me to reach out to your community and assist you in managing your watersheds.

I am available to make presentations to schools and any community groups that are interested in learning about the importance of watersheds and how to minimize pollutants that may enter your waterways. I can also teach groups how to do biological and visual assessments of local streams and rivers. This is a fun, hands-on way to learn about your watershed and about the water quality in your own backyard. We can even send our information to the NJDEP to assist them in determining the health of streams and rivers in your area.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to assist you in educating the community about your watershed. I can tailor my presentations to all ages, and look forward to being an active member of this community. And my services are entirely FREE. Let's work together to keep New Jersey CLEAN.
