State Well Drillers and Pump Installers Examining and Advisory Board


The “State Well Drillers and Pump Installers Examining and Advisory Board” is comprised of nine members, whose duties include review and modification of licensing examinations, certification of examination applicants and of the results of the examinations, formulation of new rules and regulations and recommendations to the Department. The Board also advises the Department regarding any enforcement actions or complaints against any licensed well drillers or pump installers, and may make recommendations to the Commissioner regarding the suspension or revocation of the license of any well driller or pump installer.

There is an upcoming vacancy on the NJ State Well Drillers and Pump Installers Examining and Advisory Board (Board). The vacancy, as stipulated by the New Jersey Subsurface and Percolating Waters Act (N.J.S.A. 58:4A-4.1 et seq.) and the Well Construction and Maintenance; Sealing of Abandoned Wells Rule (N.J.A.C. 7:9D), is to be filled by an individual who is not licensed as a well driller or pump installer, not employed by the State, and does not have a financial interest in the well drilling/pump installation trade.
