AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassadors Program
Delaware River and Bay Blitz - Dash for the Trash
The Delaware River and Bay Blitz is a week long stream clean up event along the Delaware River and its tributaries to commemorate the sixth annual National AmeriCorps Week. AmeriCorps Week recognizes the commitment of AmeriCorps members and alumni by highlighting their extraordinary impact across the nation every day. AmeriCorps engages more than 80,000 men and women in intensive service each year through thousands of nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.
The mission of the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program is to raise public awareness about water and watershed issues and to promote watershed stewardship through direct community involvement. The Delaware River and Bay Blitz is one way the public can help keep our waterways healthy, safe and clean! You can make a difference! Individuals, families, students and groups are welcome.
