National Water Quality Monitoring Council's Volunteer Monitoring Workgroup

The National Water Quality Monitoring Council's Volunteer Monitoring workgroup is a national resource for learning about community-based water monitoring activities in other states.

New Jersey Resources

Multiple New Jersey-based resources are available to support community water monitoring. The New Jersey Watershed Watch Network, funded by NJDEP and the Watershed Institute, promotes the health and resiliency of New Jersey's watersheds by strengthening, connecting, and mobilizing watershed organizations. It builds capacity and partnerships via workshops, trainings, sharing best practices and lessons learned, as well as providing small grants across the community. AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors and members of the New Jersey Water Monitoring Council also serve as resources for community water monitoring activities.
