 Motor Vehicle Installment Seller


A motor vehicle installment seller license is required if a New Jersey automobile dealer that is properly licensed as a dealer with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission wishes to be authorized to execute retail installment sales contracts with New Jersey consumers in connection with the sale of new or used vehicles.

The governing statute is the New Jersey Retail Installment Sales Act of 1960, N.J.S.A. 17:16C-1. et seq.
