When shopping for insurance, you should also consider an insurer's reputation for financial stability, policyholder service and claims handling practices. Many insurers offer information about their services on their web sites and many independent companies rate the financial condition of insurers. Each rating company employs its own technique for determining the rating of an insurer. The areas considered generally vary, but may include leverage, management stability, recent performance and financial situation. External factors such as competition, diversification and market presence may also be considered. Please note: For varying circumstances, the rating companies may not provide reviews for all insurance companies. |
