Instructions to Reinstate a Referral Agent License


To apply to reinstate as a referral agent, your application may be able to be completed online. 

  1.   Broker and Applicant Review the Restrictions Imposed on Referral Agents
    The applicant and the licensed real estate broker of record/employing broker shall review the restrictions imposed by N.J.S.A. 45:15-3 upon the brokerage activities of a referral agent, including that such activity is limited to referring prospects to the broker or the broker’s designee as set forth in N.J.A.C. 11:5-6.10(a).

Applicant answers the qualifying questions online

   

The applicant must complete the qualifying questions online. Only the individual applying for license reinstatement may complete the questions. Brokers may not complete the questions on behalf of applicants.  Please click here to answer the qualifying questions

     
  3. Broker submits online application
   

The active Broker of Record can apply for the reinstatement of a license using the “Hire / Reinstate Licensees” process of their Online Licensing Services Main Menu. Out-of-state companies must submit a paper application.

If the reinstatement can not be completed online, the broker will be notified through the Online Licensing Services.  If the broker is so notified, please click here to obtain a paper copy of the reinstatement application, and complete and submit the paper application as set forth on the application.
