Please Note: March 15 Open Public Comment Session Reaches Speaker Capacity

The commission appreciates the high level of interest in the next Open Public Comment Session scheduled for March 15 to take place upon the conclusion of commission business at the 2:00 p.m. Business Meeting. In light of the large number of individuals who have already pre-registered to speak during the Open Public Comment Session, those planning to attend are advised as follows:

  • Open Public Comment Sessions are limited to no more than one hour per quarter.
  • Based on the large number of pre-registrants, DRBC is no longer accepting additional names of individuals who wish to speak during the Open Public Comment Session on March 15 since it is likely that they will not have the opportunity to speak.
  • In order to accommodate as many pre-registrants as possible during the one-hour Open Public Comment Session, individuals may be accorded less than the customary three minutes.

Attendees are encouraged to carefully read and observe all procedures for Business Meetings (pdf 357 KB) and Open Public Comment Sessions (pdf 383 KB).

In addition, please note the following:

  • The capacity of the auditorium is limited to the number of available seats and will not be exceeded to ensure public safety.
  • Attendees will be subject to a security screening prior to entering the auditorium.
  • Attendees should take home with them what they bring to Washington Crossing Historic Park and not leave behind any signs or trash in the visitor center or on the grounds.

DRBC wishes to remind everyone that there is no requirement for the commission to provide for open public comment. The commissioners afford this opportunity, as time allows, in order to be better informed about the concerns of basin water users, and comments offered by the public during these sessions are not included in any decision-making record. The opportunity for open public comment is always subject to the discretion of the Business Meeting chair.
