The National Water Quality Monitoring Council (NWQMC) will hold its 6th National Water Quality Monitoring Conference from May 18-22, 2008 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, N.J. Its focus is Monitoring: Key to Understanding Our Waters, which will center around seven themes highlighting the importance of monitoring and the necessity of clean water for all. The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is pleased to announce the spring installment of their FREE Citizen Science Program series! Starting March 13, 2008, programs will be held every other week on Thursday evenings through May 22, 2008. Each program begins with a poster session at 6:30 p.m., with the scheduled presenter starting at 7 p.m. Please click here for a list of the upcoming programs. Save the Date: The Delaware River Greenway Partnership (DRGP) is celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2008 and will hold several events in September to Discover the Delaware. On Friday, September 5, 2008 a Municipal Watershed Institute will be held at the Solebury Township Building in Solebury, Pa.; this event is by invitation only. On Saturday, September 13, 2008 DRGP will hold a workshop entitled Your River, Your Region at the New Hope-Solebury High School in New Hope, Pa. On the evening of September 13 there will be a Michener Museum Tour and a Party/Awards Ceremony at the Blue Raccoon, both also in New Hope, Pa.
