DRBC TO NAME COURTYARD IN HONOR OF
WORLD-RENOWNED ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST RUTH PATRICK
(WEST TRENTON, N.J.) - The Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) will honor Philadelphia resident and pioneering ecologist Dr. Ruth Patrick at the conclusion of the commissioner's morning conference session.

The announcement and brief remarks will be delivered by DRBC Chairman Kevin Donnelly, who represents Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner on the federal-interstate commission, and Executive Director Carol R. Collier. Dr. Patrick also will offer remarks.
Dr. Patrick's work has set the standard for how the environmental health of rivers and streams is evaluated today and has been involved with the Delaware River Basin since 1945. She received the National Medal of Science, our nation's top science award, from President Bill Clinton in 1996.
The public is invited to attend the announcement, which will include a concept design plan to redevelop the courtyard.
