Delaware River Basin Flood Warning User Forums - Fall 2010

Recommendation FW-11 in the Delaware River Basin Interstate Flood Task Force Action Plan speaks to establishing a Coordinated Flood Warning Education and Outreach Program. Offered in the Fall of 2010, the Delaware River Basin Flood Warning User Forums offered an opportunity for county and local emergency managers to learn about the latest flood warning advancements and offer feedback to the National Weather Service and the U.S. Geological Survey.

The Forums were held free of charge on the following dates:

September 21, 2010 • Grand Eastonian Suites Hotel, Easton, Pa.
September 22, 2010 • The Inn at Lambertville Station, Lambertville, N.J.
September 28, 2010 • Tusten Town Hall, Narrowsburg, N.Y.

The Forums were funded through Congressional and NOAA grant support and were sponsored by the following agencies:

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
National Weather Service (NWS)
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Nurture Nature Foundation (NNF)
Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC)
