Abstract:
The 21st CCLC within the Carteret School is called the Carteret Arts & Sports Academy (CASA). It places a heavy emphasis on the use of arts education as a catalyst for student academic achievement and individual self-actualization. The program seeks to draw together the community stakeholders and seek platforms to leverage resources to provide comprehensive solutions that serve Carteret Middle School students and their families. The goal of this endeavor is to deliver high-quality programs for students and parents that support the overall 21st CCLC goals: Positive Character Development, Academic Achievement, Physical & Artistic Development and a higher degree of Community & Parental Involvement in the education of their children.
