The 21st CCLC program at The Boys and Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy Carteret High School Site provides its participants with high quality academic remediation and enrichment before and after school programming. Our program uses project based, guided inquiry curriculum to challenge our students, while providing them with a solid foundation in basic skills. All enrichment activities are aligned to meet or exceed the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. The Club focuses on career exploration and civic engagement to prepare our high school students for 21st Century careers. Academic Remediation and Enrichment activities include Power hour, SAT/HSPA Prep, Engineering and Digital Tech Clubs, Creative Writing, Drama, Fashion Exploration, Recreational Opportunities in Step and Latin Dance, Debate, Book Clubs, Math League, College/University Field Trips and college prep workshops.
Our services expand into the summer providing participants with an opportunity to experience the college life through our collaboration with Rutgers University Upward Bound Program.
