Abstract:
Three school-based community learning centers have been developed in collaboration with a faith-based agency and a community college partner to deliver extended-day programming to high school students within their home-school location. Program offerings at each site have been organized in three main areas: instruction and learning, character and social development and recreational components. There is a parent and family training component to the program that allows for a supportive environment for our students and their families.
