Second Language Regional Model Program Application

In order to identify schools that have programs in which exemplary practices in second language instruction are taking place, the New Jersey Supervisors of World Languages Organizations, and the Statewide Advisory Committee for Bilingual and ESL Education have developed criteria for the designation of regional model second language programs with assistance from the Department of Education. Schools that are designed as model program sites will serve as regional resource centers for other districts.

The seven model second language programs for bilingual/ESL were recognized in May 2008. The next cohort of model programs will be recognized May 2010. If districts wish to apply for model program status in the areas of bilingual or ESL education, please follow these

2. Complete the application .
