	The 2008-09 Byrd Scholarship application period ended on April 24, 2009.  Applicants will be notified via email by the end of the school year of their status.  Continuing scholars will receive their forms in the mail in June 2009.
	The recognition programs are undergoing a revision. Therefore, the Best Practices and Star Schools programs are no longer being continued. Please take a look at a new program, Schools to Watch, under the school recognition link.
