Grace Smith

Beck Middle School
Cherry Hill School District

Grace Smith, originally from Buffalo, New York, has a master’s degree from Canisius College.  She holds teaching certificates in mathematics from New York and New Jersey.  She has taught high school math in Buffalo, NY, and for the past thirteen years has been a member of the math department at Beck Middle School.  She is currently teaching Algebra 1 to 8th graders.  She is always excited about researching, teaching, and sharing new lessons using graphing calculators.  Grace makes connections with students through her patience, kindness, encouragement, and respect.  She never gives up on her students and willingly offers extra help every morning before school.  She enjoys working with novice teachers, mentoring and supporting them.  Grace has worked on district math curriculum committees and has been a leader within the math department.
