Highly Qualified Teachers

2004 Statewide Survey Results

1) The number of teachers in the state and percent of teachers who meet the NCLB highly qualified teacher definition for at least one subject taught as well as for all subjects taught at the elementary school, intermediate school, and the middle/secondary school levels in the aggregate and disaggregated by high poverty and low poverty schools; 2) the percent of all core academic subject classes in the state taught by highly qualified teachers at the elementary school, middle school and secondary school levels and disaggregated by core subject areas as well as by high and low poverty schools.
