Travel Guidance
As noted in the Commissioner’s memo dated March 17, 2008, the revised OMB travel circular gives the Commissioner the authority to grant waivers for school board members and school district employees to attend in-state conferences. The Department is in the process of writing travel regulations that will contain procedures for submitting a request for a waiver. Until the regulations are promulgated, the Department is providing proposed guidance on overnight travel.
