Memorial Pictures
The pictures represent over 40 middle grade and high schools of New Jersey. The projects are from Art, History and/or Language Arts teachers or a combination through integrated instruction.
An open design competition is being sponsored by the Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial organization (ACBHM, Inc.), a private non-profit foundation chartered for the purpose of erecting a Memorial, in cooperation with the City of Atlantic City, which has dedicated a superb site for the Memorial on the boardwalk. The competition was advertised nationally and internationally, and will be juried in September by a world class panel of experts in the field of architecture and design. Over 700 responses were received from throughout the world.
The students work was also designed to memorialize the impact of prejudice, bias and bigotry as seen through the Holocaust and genocide and a number of them were chosen to be sent to Atlantic City to be displayed with the finalists of the international competition.
FINALISTS BEING DISPLAYED IN ATLANTIC CITY
