Facilitating Inclusion through Differentiated Instruction in
General Education Classrooms: Focus on Mathematics

During this one day workshop, teachers of mathematics in grades 4 and 5 will learn the basic principles and practical application of differentiated instruction as a way to meet the needs of students with disabilities within general education classes. Math skills critical for grades 4 and 5 will be emphasized through a hands-on approach that incorporates flexible grouping, tiered assignments, and varied levels of questioning.
Audience: General and special education teachers of elementary mathematics responsible for educating students with disabilities in general education programs - Grades 4 and 5
