Mercer County Teachers Recognized

Ninety teachers from schools throughout Mercer County will be recognized on Friday, May 3, 2002, at a special luncheon in their honor. The teachers, who were all selected by a panel of individuals represented by teacher, administrator, and community members will receive certificates in the Mercer County Teacher Recognition Program.

Reporters and photographers are invited to cover the event, which will be held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Educational Testing Service in Princeton.

Highlights of the event will include remarks from Kurt Landgraf, president and CEO of Educational Testing Service; Bob Prunetti, Mercer County Executive; and Janet Wilson, art teacher at Nottingham High School in Hamilton who is New Jersey’s current state Teacher of the Year. This recognition program is designed to honor teachers who exhibit outstanding performance. Each school building can nominate a teacher to be honored.

Attached is a list of the 90 teachers selected for the Mercer County Teacher Recognition Program.
