Department of Education Schedules NCLB Information Sessions

The New Jersey Department of Education has scheduled a series of information sessions to familiarize local educators with different aspects of the federal education law, the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). The department is inviting key educators throughout the state to participate in the sessions, which focus on the requirements of the landmark federal law and the responsibilities that local educators must carry out under the law.

The information sessions will cover Highly Qualified Teachers (HQT), Unsafe School Choice Option (USCO), and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). School district staff responsible for local compliance with NCLB will hear from New Jersey Department of Education representatives who are responsible for implementing and monitoring progress throughout the state. After the presentations, school staff will have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.
