Each student taking the assessment will be provided with a "Manipulative Sheet" (coming soon).This manipulative sheet contains "punch out" shapes and a ruler which will aid students in answering certain items. |

GEPA and HSPA (Grade 8 and Grade 11) |

Each student taking the assessment will be provided with a "Reference Sheet" - GEPA & HSPA (PDF*). This sheet contains a standard set of formulas as well as a ruler. |
General Preparation Advice:
- Whenever possible, assessment should emphasize real-world applications. It is appropriate for assessment items to be solvable in a variety of ways.
- For multiple-choice items, numerical options should generally be placed in ascending or descending order. The positioning of the correct option should be assigned randomly throughout the test. Distractors should be selected to represent common errors of logic or reasoning.
*NOTE: BEFORE YOU PRINT THE PDF FILE(S), MAKE SURE THE PRINT SETTING FOR ADOBE ACROBAT IS SET AS FOLLOWS:
- VERSION 4.0, REMOVE THE CHECK FOR "FIT TO PAGE;"
- VERSION 5.0, REMOVE THE CHECK FOR "SHRINK OVERSIZE PAGES TO PAPER SIZE;" AND FOR
- VERSION 6.0, SET "PAGE SCALING" TO "NONE."
