This response is focused and organized and progresses from beginning to end. Each idea is elaborated with supporting details. The writer even provides supporting reasons for not extending the school day from a teacher's point of view. (How am I supposed to be home for my son if I have to work an extra 15 minutes!?) The student also compares the possible scheduling conflicts as a result of the extended day to the conflicts in Iraq. Overall, this writer demonstrates a strong command of language.
