The following writing sample for the Sample Persuasive Writing Prompt B scored a "2" based on the New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Rubric.
Scorers made the following comments about the sample below:
Although this response takes a position (I am against this issue), the writer fails to support one position (Some of the "junk" food, like french fries should stay. But Tastycakes and muffins should go). The lack of elaboration of ideas and organization to demonstrate a limited command of the language.
