The following writing sample for the Sample Persuasive Writing Prompt C scored a "4" based on the New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Rubric.
Scorers made the following comments about the sample below:
The title, "Goodbye Barbies and Baby Dolls, Hello Tight Pants and High Heels" catches the reader's attention as does the rhetorical question in the opening paragraph. The development, elaborated details, few errors in grammar and mechanics indicate an adequate command of the language. More development of the closing paragraph would move this paper to the next level.
