Writing Sample Scoring "5"

The following  writing sample for the Writing To Speculate Prompt scored a "5" based on the New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Rubric.  

This sample scored a 5 because of a fairly consistent control of usage, some vivid language, and a successful use of dialogue. The sample includes the development of a story, although it is not sophisticated and the conflict is not well-developed. There is no lesson learned, and there are some errors left in, although they do not affect the delivery of the story.
