Getting Started The tutorial is built around a scenario in which you will take the perspective of a teacher who is interested in interpreting the results of one particular student, Monisha. She has just completed 8th grade. Before beginning, you may wish to review the New Jersey Statewide Middle School Assessments and inquire further about its relationship to other tests. |
| In this tutorial you will: • Examine the parts of Monisha's GEPA individual student report: where is she proficient (and where is she not proficient) for both language arts literacy and mathematics; • Identify Monisha's strengths and weaknesses in specific mathematics content clusters as indicated by the test results, and compare those with her class; • Examine possible external influences on results and strategies to help Monisha; and • Use activities and sample tests to help with support. |
