Welcome to a series of SBRR-based modules for K-3 reading. The series is to support the phases of professional development for the New Jersey Reading First program. The focus is on demonstration of classroom application of scientifically-based research by New Jersey educators. Modules may be used by an individual teacher or in workshop format. Each online module consists of:

•	Video Segments. Segments are in Windows Media format. The full videotape or DVD may be obtained from the Department's Publication Office for school and district use. All video is copyrighted by the New Jersey Department of Education.
•	Professional Development. The professional development units are related to the video segments. They may be accessed in any order, with or without viewing the video. The units are:
		Guidance - advice before applying the idea in the classroom
		Practice - try it out in a parallel activity!
		Self-assessment - self-assessment and credit/unit-bearing tasks
		Links - research and helpful hints.
