The NJ SMART portal opened for the October 15th Snapshot Submissions on October 20th at 8am and will close on November 19th at 5pm. New data elements and modifications to existing data elements have been made to both the October 15 Core State Submission and the October 15 Special Education data submission. New data elements for the October 15 Special Education data submission: Early Intervention Data elements no longer collected in the October 15 Special Education State Submission: Grade Level Data elements no longer collected in Core State Submissions (i.e. June 30/EOY and Oct 15 State Submission): County Code Receiving The NJ SMART Student Data Handbooks and file templates have been updated to reflect these changes and the new versions are posted on the Documents for Download page. It is essential for the integrity of the statewide student-level database that all student records include these data elements. In an effort to help LEAs prepare for these changes, NJ SMART hosted webinar trainings August 25th through October 21st. These webinars reviewed the October 15th State and Special Education Submission functionality in the NJ SMART portal. Each webinar will last 60-90 minutes; you do not need to register for a session in advance. Below please find the schedule of NJ SMART Special Education Submission webinars:
