Advisory Committee on Professional Development for School Leaders
N.J.A.C. 6A:9-16.2 (b) The Advisory Committee shall be comprised of 11 members active in their position and representing the following constituencies: five principals and supervisors, three superintendents and central office administrators, one teacher, one higher education representative from a school leader preparation program, and one board of education member. The members shall be appointed by the Commissioner of Education. Members of the State Advisory Committee of Professional Development for School Administrators members will serve for a term of three years and may be reappointed for one additional term. The Commissioner will solicit nominations from the major professional associations for their respective members. The Commissioner or his or her designee shall serve as ex-officio member on the committee. The Advisory Committee shall solicit nominations, subject to the Commissioner’s approval, to replace members who representation status changes (e.g., promotion, retirement, cessation of employment) or who are unable to complete their term of service for other reasons.
