Indicator 2: Drop-Out Rates – Percent of youth with IEPs dropping out of high school

Data Source: : End of the Year Report for Drop Out Data (Collection Date: June 2009) and NJSMART for special education enrollment data (Collection Date: October15, 2008 for the school year July 1, 2008 June 30, 2009)

Calculation:   The drop-out rate for students with disabilities is calculated by dividing the number of students with disabilities ages 14-21 that dropped-out for a given year by the total enrollment of students with disabilities ages 14-21 for that year.

In the dropout rate calculation, drop-outs include "drop-outs" as well as "moved not known to be continuing.”
