How to sign up for the GED Tests
GED tests may only be taken at the GED Testing Centers and at other sites approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education and GEDTS. There are certain restrictions on testing and special assistance is available for qualified persons.
FORFEITURE POLICY: Forfeitures occurs when a previously scheduled candidate fails to show for testing and fails to notify the testing facility at least 72 hours in advance of scheduled test date to provide the test center ample time to schedule and alternate tester. Those individuals who fail to notify the test center within the specified timeframe will be required to pay a new testing fee before being scheduled for a new test date. Individuals notifying the test centers within the specified timeframe will be permitted to reschedule a new testing date.
This policy applies to those individuals scheduled for either the complete exam or a re-exam session. Testing space is limited and failure to notify a center in a timely manner creates a lost testing opportunity for someone else desiring to test.
A New Jersey State-Endorsed High School Diploma will be awarded to all candidates who earn qualifying scores.
