Module IV: What Happens After Reporting

Welcome to Module IV of “Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect: What School Personnel Need to Do” developed in collaboration between the New Jersey Departments of Education (DOE) and Children and Families (DCF).  This module will provide information about what happens after a report of potential child abuse or neglect has been made.

This training module is formatted using Microsoft PowerPoint and includes a voice narration.  The slides are not “timed” and must be advanced manually to enable the audience to complete their discussion, as needed, for each individual slide before moving to the next.  Schools are also permitted to download the modules and burn them to a CD ROM for portability and ease of use, if so desired.

The recommended handouts to supplement this module are handouts 5 and 11.  An audience will find it most useful to have accessed and printed out the sets of handouts prior to viewing the modules.  The accompanying handouts recommended to supplement the presentation are also indicated on the first slide of each module.
