All Nonpublic Schools are eligible to participate and did not have to apply in 2012-13.

Be sure to apply for next year when you fill out the Nonpublic School Enrollment Report this year!

NJDOE supplies entitlement figure to the public school

July 2012

Payment sent from NJDOE to the public school as a lump sum.

July 31, 2012

Nonpublic school consults with public school           

Allow time for the public school to add the topic to the agenda prior to the public session of the public school Board of Education (BOE) meeting.

Prior to the October November public school Board of Education meeting

Nonpublic school submits request to public school

It is suggested that this be completed by the end of September.

Public school's BOE approves nonpublic school request at Board meeting

Public school submits agreement to county superintendent
Agreement contains:

  • Written verification of meeting nonpublic school
  • BOE minutes from approval meeting

NOTE ON REPORTING DATE TO QUALIFY FOR AID IN 2013-2014
The Nonpublic School Enrollment Report (application process) will be due to the New Jersey
Department of Education by November 2012.  The specific date will be included with report's instructions.

This funding is intended to have an impact on the students this school year!
