More than 32,000 applications were received for the Universal Service Fund – Year 2 by the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD).

This first wave notified agencies that submitted approximately 6000 applications.

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed nationally in the form of a discount on eligible services for this wave: approximately $90 million.

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed to New Jersey in the form of a discount on eligible services in this wave: $2,453,486.76. Total amount committed to New Jersey at this time: $2,453,486.76, which is 2.7% of national total (approximately $90 million).
Total number of awards in NJ for wave one: 184.
Number of agencies notified in this first wave: 123. (NJ comprised 2.1% of the total national funded applications.)
