NATIONAL INFORMATION

More than 32,000 applications were received for the Universal Service Fund - Year 2.

This fifth wave notified agencies that submitted approximately 1,700 applications.

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed nationally in the form of a discount on eligible services for this wave: approximately $110 million.

NEW JERSEY INFORMATION

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed to New Jersey in the form of a discount on eligible services in this wave: $598,183.80. Total amount committed to New Jersey at this time: $5,350,487.42, which is 1.8% of national total thus far (approximately $380 million).

Total number of awards in NJ for wave five: 55.

Number of agencies notified in this fifth wave: 41. (NJ comprised 3.2% of the total national funded applications.)

Many agencies filed more than one application for separate services in the following categories: (Three Abbott districts received awards in this wave.)
