More than 32,000 applications were received for the Universal Service Fund - Year 2.

This eighth wave notified agencies that submitted approximately 1,400 applications.

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed nationally in the form of a discount on eligible services for this wave: approximately $105 million.

NEW JERSEY INFORMATION

Total amount of Universal Service Funds committed to New Jersey in the form of a discount on eligible services in this wave: $3,260,335.43. Total amount committed to New Jersey at this time: $11,581,164.53, which is 2.0% of national total thus far (approximately $583 million).
Total number of awards in NJ for wave eight: 61.
Number of agencies notified in this eighth wave: 37. (NJ comprised 2.6% of the total national funded applications for this wave.)
