New Jersey School Report Cards

The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires the state and local districts to inform parents about the status of education in the schools their children attend. The Department of Education issues annually the state-mandated New Jersey School Report Card that contains statistical profiles of every school in the state. In addition to the annual School Report Card, the department publishes the NCLB Report Card that contains all of the specific information required to be reported in accordance with NCLB. This report is issued prior to the opening of school and contains the information that has determined whether schools that have been classified as "in need of improvement" have met the requirements for making their adequate yearly progress (AYP). The NCLB Report Card is also available in a Spanish-language version. All of the state’s report cards can be viewed at: http://education.state.nj.us/rc/
