Module V - The Single Accountability System
The Single Accountability training module was developed to explain the requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) and how accountability for schools and districts is implemented in New Jersey. The Single Accountability module was created by the Office of Title I Program Planning and Accountability in collaboration with other New Jersey Department of Education program offices and divisions to provide guidance for Title I districts and schools.
This module explains New Jersey’s Single Accountability System as defined under NCLB. The module also provides an understanding of the evolution of single accountability systems, references the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC), and provides an overview of how Title I programs are audited.
