HAZARDOUS EMPLOYMENT FOR MINORS

All of the occupations listed in this document would also be considered hazardous occupations for the employment of minors.  Minors may not be employed in any of the listed occupations unless all of the following criteria are met:

1. The student is enrolled in an appropriate career and technical education program;
2. The career and technical education program is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education;
3. The student is enrolled in a paid cooperative education experience;
4. The appropriate training agreement, student training plan, and employment certificate have been completed; and,
5. The worksite placement is supervised by (1) a cooperative education coordinator-hazardous occupations or (2) a career and technical education teacher who holds an endorsement for that occupation and who has completed the required courses for structured learning experience supervision.
