PAMS Implementation Delay - 12/11/2007
The State Division of Taxation has advised that the timeline for the implementation of PAMS (Property Assessment Management System) has been extended until January / February 2009, with the PAMS Collection module scheduled for 2009. Property Tax Reform Legislative Summary - 05/11/2007
The Division has issued new Local Finance Notices describing the impact on local governments property tax relief legislation recently approved by Governor Corzine. The Notices are as follows:
2007-8: "Changes to Statement of State Aid on Property Tax Bills" discusses changes to the Statement of State Aid calculation that will appear on property tax bills, starting with 3rd quarter of 2007.
2007-9: "Budget Issues Update: CY 2007 and Preliminary SFY 2008" reviews the impact of a change on 2007 budgets and provides preliminary guidance for 2008 budgets. It also includes a copy of the new tax levy cap laws, and other legislation affecting local unit budgets.
2008-10: "Property Tax Reform Legislation" summarizes the bills signed in March and April affecting local government operations.
