On September 9th, First Lady Mary Pat Christie announced the recipients of the third annual New Jersey Heroes Heart of a Hero Scholarship. Each of the ten recipients will receive a $5,000 scholarship award to help pursue a post-secondary education or vocational training.

On July 16th, First Lady Mary Pat Christie helped open the Affordable Housing Alliance’s Hurricane Sandy Housing Recovery Resource Center (HRRC) in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. This new counseling center, funded in part by a grant from the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, will provide homeowners and renters, whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, find viable and permanent housing solutions.
