GOVERNOR CORZINE SIGNS LEGISLATION

TRENTON – Governor Jon S. Corzine signed the following bills into law today:

S-1238/A-1001 (Van Drew, Singer/Cruz-Perez, Vas, Bramnick, Moriarty, Vainieri Huttle) – Regulates impoundment of shopping carts.

A-690/S-1300 (Spencer, Rodriguez/Turner, Ruiz) – Requires boards of education to permit public participation at board meetings

ACS for A-1770/SCS for S-233/504 (Watson Coleman, Wagner, Gusciora, Rodriguez, Johnson/Adler, Turner) – Amends special probation statute to increase participation in drug court program; permits court to reduce certain fees.

A-2452/SCS for S-1442 (Roberts, DeCroce, Watson Coleman/Codey, T.Kean) – Changes Joint Legislative Committee on Ethical Standards from 16 to eight members; makes various procedural changes; requires annual ethics training for legislators.
