Christie Administration Encourages Tuesday Closure of New Jersey Colleges and Universities in Anticipation of Hurricane Sandy

Trenton, NJ – New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education Rochelle Hendricks released the following statement today, encouraging closure of universities and colleges across the state in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy:

“As Secretary of Higher Education, I am encouraging all college and university presidents to close your institutions on Tuesday if you have not already done so, in keeping with Governor Christie's efforts to protect our citizens during this historic storm. I would also like to thank the many institutions that are providing shelter to residents who are in need.”
