The Program

  • Exposes the scholars to the various disciplines available in Engineering, as well as the demands faced in these diverse fields.
  • Will provide the participants not only with a thorough understanding of the various disciplines, but also an awareness of the importance that Engineering and technology have in their lives, both professionally and personally.
  • Provides challenging weekly schedules. Students will become familiar with the rigors, efforts and rewards encountered by students in an Engineering curriculum.
  • Offers stimulating and challenging courses, laboratory workshops, research projects, tours and trips, elective courses and colloquium to discuss new ideas. A luncheon on the last day of the School will be a Banquet attended by the entire group of Scholars and counselors as well as various dignitaries representing both Rutgers and the State of New Jersey. This will be the culmination of the Governor's School Program.
