Alumni Comments
"Governor's School was probably one of the most amazing
experiences of my life so far. I became friends with a great group
of kids that I still keep in touch with, and even became friends
with their friends from home. Some of those friendships have touched
me like none other. During my senior year, not a day went by where
something did not remind me of Governor's School, and even now,
I am still reminded of the things both related to friends and
to the water ecology class I was in. Governor's School provided
each of its scholars with a network of people that the normal
high school student would never be privy to, giving us access
to people at universities around the country, and to hobbies and
interests we would have never developed on our own."

"Governor's School was and remains the most formative experience
of my life. I can speak only in superlatives about it. During
the four weeks at Stockton, I stood outside myself for the very
first time and glimpsed at where I stood in relation to the others,
to the world and what I wanted to be."

"Governor's School gave me the confidence and curiosity
to succeed. It was a magical and important summer that marked
a definite turning point in my life for the better."
- Environment Scholar, Dartmouth College
"The Governor's School program reaffirmed my faith in the
intellectual. In my high school, students were giving up on academics,
but with this program I was with other students like myself."
