New Jersey is not only home to the first drive-in theater; it is also home to the first fly-in theater. Ed Brown of Wall Township added parking for 25 small airplanes at his 500 car drive-in theater. Ed Brown's Drive-In and Fly-In opened on June 3, 1948.
Brown's theater had an airstrip next to it and planes taxied to the back. A tow brought the planes back to the airport when the movie ended.
