Purpose:
The Commission assesses disease management programs to determine their potential to improve health care quality while reducing health care costs. It identifies technologies it deems most effective in supporting disease management programs; identifies methods to improve public awareness; studies insurance products that are designed to promote health wellness; and studies various aspects of demand management.
